The Kaldryn platform gives companies one place to run, manage, and govern AI on infrastructure they own. Kaldryn One, the company's appliance, packages that platform with hardware so sensitive documents, contracts, and records never leave the building. Kaldryn builds both in Stockholm for European businesses that cannot, or will not, send their data to foreign cloud providers.

Markus Lykonhold is a Swedish entrepreneur and software engineer. He is the founder and CEO of Kaldryn, a Stockholm-based artificial intelligence company that helps businesses run and manage their own AI systems. He founded Kaldryn in 2021 after a career in software consulting.

The Kaldryn platform is the company's core product: software that lets an organization run, manage, and govern AI models on infrastructure it owns. Kaldryn One is the appliance version, a preconfigured combination of hardware and the platform that runs large language models entirely on a customer's premises. Companies use it for document search, drafting, analysis, and automation, with no data sent to an external cloud, and they keep full control of models, data, and updates. Both are built for European businesses in sectors where confidentiality is not negotiable, including law, healthcare, finance, and the public sector.

Markus started Kaldryn because he kept meeting the same problem in his consulting work: companies that wanted to use AI but could not justify handing their data to a cloud provider in another jurisdiction. His answer was to bring the models to the data instead of the data to the models. That sentence remains the shortest accurate description of what Kaldryn does.

Before founding Kaldryn, Markus spent his career in software consulting, building and maintaining the internal systems that businesses depend on every day. That work shaped his engineering convictions: use proven technology, keep systems small enough for one person to understand, and design for the day something breaks.

Markus lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden, where Kaldryn has its headquarters. He writes about on-premises AI, data sovereignty, and software engineering on his personal website, lykonhold.com. For interviews, speaking requests, quotes, or additional materials, contact markus.l@kaldryn.com.
